The Emerald Isle

The Emerald Isle WATERFORD CRYSTAL Crystal glass production has been produced in Waterford since 1783 when George and William Penrose started their business. The company produced extremely fine flint glass that became world-renowned. Even though the company ceased trading in 1851, other manufacturers carried on the tradition of producing fine crystal glassware in the city and also at other sites. Today the crystal glassware is produced with a dedication to fine quality, design, and color and maintains strong links with its predecessors. Today Waterford Crystal is produced by Fiskers Corporation which is a leading global and branded consumer goods company. Waterford produces many patterns of lead crystals stemware, including lines such as Adare, Alana, Colleen, Kincora, Lismore, and many more. LEFT: The riverfront in Waterford town at night.
